Come see environmental activist Derrick Jensen speak out on the issues of civilization and resistance, coinciding closely with Earth Week.

Jensen has been an outspoken opponent of modern industrial capitalism, stressing its deleterious impacts on relationships, the environment, and indigenous cultures. He has taken on such diverse issues as misogyny, racism, the educational system and the culture of surveillance and control.

Jensen insists that a different and more harmonious way of life is possible, and can be seen in many indigenous and Native American cultures.

He has authored books such as A Language Older Than Words, Endgame, The Culture of Make Believe, Listening to the Land, and What We Leave Behind.

He has been called the philosopher-poet of the environmental movement.
