More info:

Wikipedia has an article about trials http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Observed_bike_trial

Cundiff Park is where the BMX track is. It is located about one mile south of the Double Tree Hotel on the Animas River Trail, right behind the Big 5 sporting goods store, and across the river behind the Rivergate Lofts on Hwy 3. It is easily accessible from either HWY 160 or 550 and there is parking on site. Riding your bike to the event is encouraged, bring your lock, we will not be responsible for lost or stolen items.

Entry fees include a shot at the “Huffy Toss” and “Ghost Ride” contest. Come see some of the nation’s top pros compete on some of the most amazing sections ever! Or just challenge your friends on the mountain bike courses! Spectating will be excellent! And there will be prizes in every class!

You can register on site from 9-11 but pre registering to compete in the mountain bike class at Pedal the Peaks bike shop on Main and College will help us run a better event.

All classes compete at 12:00 noon

Helmets are REQUIRED and gloves are recommended. Clipless pedals are NOT RECOMMENDED in the sport of trials. Flat pedals are highly encouraged. Bring an extra tube. I would not recommend DH bikes for this type of competition.

Trials bikes or Trials competitors are not allowed in the MTB class, sorry sandbaggers!

Restrooms will be available, but there is no running water on site.
Sunset is at about 6:15, so don’t forget your bike lights and warm clothing if you need them. Average highs for october are in the mid 60’s

Sorry but dogs are discouraged due to safety concerns.

Always ride responsibly on the Bike Path.
